We acknowledge that we are on Lenapehoking, the ancestral and unceded homeland of the Lenape people. In what is now called Brooklyn, the specific bands include the Canarsee and Munsee. We honor and respect the Lenape peoples—past, present, and future—and recognize their enduring relationship with this land and its waterways.
