Before Pictures: Douglas Crimp in conversation with Yvonne Rainer, Silas Riener, and Adrian Danchig-Waring @ The Kitchen

In this program, art historian and critic Douglas Crimp reads chapters from his memoir Before Pictures that relate his encounters with performance art and dance in New York during the 1970s—Merce Cunningham, George Balanchine, disco, and more. Crimp is then joined in spirited conversation with a stellar cast of interlocutors, including Judson Dance Theater founder, filmmaker, and choreographer Yvonne Rainer; choreographer and former Cunningham dancer Silas Riener; and New York City Ballet principal dancer Adrian Danchig-Waring. Hosted by the Kitchen.
